Lots of angry drunken dwarves. |
Description
Once upon time, there was the Beer List. The Beer list had examples of how to write a drinking song in hundreds of languages.
(Of course, the Beer List still lives, but now on a different site.)
Much later in time (in information society reckoning where an year is as long as a decade), Bioware released a game called Neverwinter Nights, in which you, the brave adventurer, have amazing adventures - if you wish, a great deal of that has to do with the taverns! And the game comes with a complete editing toolkit with scripting support.
What a coincidence.
The fantasy settings are nothing without dragons... and, of course, dwarves who drink a lot of beer. =)
So, here it is: A whole example module on how to make the beer song work.
The song itself is in resource "song_99bottles". It is exported in song_99bottles.erf, and in textual format in song_99bottles.nss. The file has more comments on it - and don't forget to read the module comments, the file comments and my speech in the module, particularly the stability issue.
