"If only it'd stop raining..."

Ilmryn, the most unremarkable dark elf you've ever seen.

Ilmryn the Mountaineer: Executing Random Orcs on the Mountains

This is probably the most typical situation you can find Ilmryn in: A lone figure walking around the mountain paths in the evening and the night, stalking deer and/or killing unsuspecting orcs. And it rains all the time. Well, almost.

Home sweet home!

Ilmryn's home in a very nice cave in Orsraun mountains.

Ah, time to relax...

Let's just sit here and try to decipher one of those hundreds of books...

Adding some new touches to the artwork...

The cave has places for practicing combat, but most importantly painting and practicing music (the acoustics in the cave are just great.)

By the way, have you noticed how the canvas is actually translucent? =)

"Archery, the civilized form of combat"

The bow is Ilmryn's primary weapon, along with some offensive spells. He's never been quite good when in front line.

""We want ammunition. Ammunition. Ammunition..." "I'm not an archer, I'm a free magician!"

Just one screenshot with a point. After finishing the Penultima campaign, we returned home with a ridiculous amount of ammunition. Must add ammo racks to the home when I remember to do that...

Ilmryn the Wizard: Converting a Dolphin into a Porpoise...

...no, wait, it's a Magic Missile. Ilmryn wants to be a Great Magician - regrettably this isn't working all the time. But at least he won't get laughed out of gatherings of the magicians for not knowing Magic Missile, and the One True and Noble and Most Holy Spell, Fireball!

"This is no mere Drizzt clone!"

Scimitars? Bah! Bastard sword and short sword, now those are far more lethal weapons! If it doesn't have two edges, it's worthless! At least in theory, that is, it probably doesn't help that the user is wholly incompetent. In case the situation turns into melee combat, Ilmryn can try (badly) defend himself with his swords.

Male drow ranger (6) / wizard (5), chaotic good

Ilmryn is a drow who hails from Vilhon Reach / Dragon Coast area, at home in the Orsraun Mountains, Shining Plains and the Guilthmere Forest (in this order).

He is a lone and slightly shy type, for a reason - he has only been so far remotely welcome in Cedarspoke and Assam, and to lesser extent in some other areas around the realms. Definitely more of an artist and special effects technician than hero material.

Despite of the general disapproval of the drow, he has been travelling around and knows many people - most are good drow living on the surface, usually worshippers of Eilistraee (whom Ilmryn also worships).

He makes most of the living with great landscape paintings, telling stories, and selling whatever can be scraped off of the animals/monsters of the mountains.

As far as player classes go, he's equally adept at Rangering and Wizarding, but Ilmryn considers mountaineering just something that goes without saying and is far more fascinated by magic, even though he isn't particularly distinguished on the field or have any particular remarkably powerful gifts.

Favorite combat tactic, if that can be called it, is to annoy enemies from the distance with semi-clever insults. He's often in second line. Combat support often done by spells and bow, not necessarily in that order, but he is not afraid to use swords.

(By the way, in older screenshots Ilmryn has different hair style and slightly lighter skin. Now this is starting to look like the person of my ideas. Leto rules! =)
