I'm not sure if they have Internet connection in Chernobyl, and if
they do, I only recently got my Cyrillic fonts to work nicely enough
in Linux so I haven't had yet time to explore the Russian side of the
web...

I think it'd be easiest to go there and then kindly ask the guards to
let you in ("Arestovatite menya, pozhaluysta!") and then explore the
surroundings. I'm sure you'll find something.
