Shadows Over Nothross

A story set in the fantasy world of Avarthrel. Written by Urpo Lankinen.

Fantasy fiction doesn't get more typical than this: a long journey, a couple of thrilling fight scenes, elves, cold north, random ponderings, archetypical characters. And not intended as a comedy or anything. The longest story I've written so far.

Um, that's about that. I regrettably can't think of anything clever to say about this story. It's a big story.

Due to its size, it has been split into chapters. Also due to its size (and the fact that it has demonstrably been copied over to a few sites thanks to the wonders of Creative Commons), this work is in Deep Freeze: Even if I, after the fact, find minor problems in it (BEWARE THEM!!!), such as a few amusing typos the spellchecker and the nth re-read didn't catch, and a few odd convolutions here and there, I will not fix it any further. I can't afford an editor, my apologies. That said, I don't think it's a half bad thing to read and you'll probably agree you've seen worse. =) So here it is, in its giantmost glory...
