Things that didn’t work

There are a lot of things in this world that are made with love, but maker might not have succeeded in creating the greatest work of art ever. Some failed experiments are quite interesting itself.

People place too much value in great works of art in that they don’t consider “small and neat” works of art valuable — much less “small and just nice” works of art.

Sometimes, the idea is all that matters. Some works of art are fascinating just because there was a great idea that the artist really tried to express with all of their might. Some works of art are fascinating because they show all the signs that there was someone who clearly tried to save something from total ruin.

As every programmer knows, implementations come and go, but design is eternal.

A young sleepy wolf that is being drowsy

I tend to save all drawings of mine, and even drawings of others that somehow touch my heart. Here’s one that I once drew: A young wolf that is quite sleepy.

The drawing didn’t quite work out. But heck, I originally wanted to draw a wolf and somehow the eyes turned out too big. So it’s a young wolf. Who looks a little bit sleepy.

I tried. I failed, but I tried. And that mattered to me.
