Failed offerings

Imagine this: You are using your enthusiasm to offer something to the public. Perhaps you are teaching something. Perhaps you are just appearing somewhere to make a lot of people happy.

And no one comes.

That is one of the saddest situations on Earth. Taking an effort to help the public in any way is a noble goal… but it’s sad if it doesn’t work. Sadness is in the classes that no one will attend and the knowledge that will not be shared. Sadness is in parties where foods shan’t be eaten. Sadness is in disappointed organisers and people who didn’t show up because they weren’t even aware of the great things that were there just for them.

Things that didn’t work are sad.
