Experimental animals

One of the most delightful moments in Final Fantasy VII was seeing one book in the Shinra library: “6 Data on experimental animals living near Midgar”. Why, of course that is cute — experimental animals are cute!

Animals are often cute. The Unexpected is full of things that are wonderful in new and amazing ways. Creating new animals is cute, because it combines the cuteness of animals with the wonder of the unexpected.

One of the reasons why failed experiments are cute is that even when experiments themselves can fail, the experimental animals will often remain cute.
