sid2ogg is a small program that convers SID music to Ogg Vorbis.

Sounds like a simple task? A couple of minutes of shellscripting? Wrong! This little program does a little bit more than that.

• It's geared toward use with HVSC.
• It finds out song lengths using Songlengths.txt.
• It fills out song information using the SID header and STIL.txt bundled with HVSC.
• It applies fadeouts.
• It tags the Vorbis file.

Try to do all that in shell scripts! This thing is written in Ruby. I don't claim it's the cleanest Ruby hack ever made (after all, I'm also a Perl programmer =), but I hope it's useful.

This program also uses sidplay, SoX, and naturally oggenc and vorbiscomment.
