WWWWolf's cameras and other photography junk

People often warn about putting details about earthly possessions to the personal web pages. I make a big exception here. For all of you pontential thieves out there: this junk is really not worth stealing. Honest. =)

About the cameras: I have used two cameras when taking these pictures.

The other is Olympus Trip Junior, a small "box camera" with fixed focus. Some early pictures in the album were taken with this one.

The other (the "new old camera") is Edixa Prismat, an ancient SLR camera that still beats the crap out of that Olympus... This is what I use today.

Okay, it has a flash with nothing to hook it on, and it sometimes goes clunky, but it's still WAY better. =)

According to some people, the Prismat is worth 5 mk, depending on condition. Old (the page referenced to above says 1965). Not fancy, except in the eyes of some people... Well, it works adequeately, I got it for nothing, so there =)

[This note was to please Tim Berners-Lee - if I remember correctly, one of the examples he envisioned when creating the World Wide Web was there could be a photographer's home page, from which there could be a link (from some document or other) to Nikon's page where there would be more information about the camera. Well, mine's not quite Nikon, but this was a link, nevertheless. =) ]

About my photography habits

I'm not a professional photographer, but I've been photographing for quite a long time, though not actively except in the beginning and again in recent times.

My usual consumption of film is around one 24 exposure roll / 2 months, with 5-10 pics worth publishing in each roll. =)

The reason why it's so low is that if I'd concentrate on coolness, it'd be 1 roll per 12 months or so (yes, it has happened...) Yes, I waste film on nothing, but then again, sometimes there are gems among the cruft.

Other Related Things

My scanner is Agfa Snapscan 310 printer port version, but since that one doesn't have a Linux driver, I usually scan with a HP Deskscan in the university.

Photo manipulation (er, adjustation =) is done with The GIMP.
